About Ray Evans

It's been said that "Experience is the best teacher." That's true, but it doesn't have to be your experience. You can learn from the experience of others...it's called wisdom.

The former owner of The Central Park Athletic Club & Deli in Oklahoma City, he has spent decades exploring health, food, and fitness.

After years of battling type 2 diabetes, coronary artery disease, and the disappointment of fad diets, Ray found freedom and healing through a plant-based lifestyle, God’s original plan for humanity’s health and wellness.

Ray is the author of the Faith & Food series, which offers heart-healthy, diabetes-friendly, plant-based recipes along with biblical references and devotionals to help others who want to lose weight, reverse disease, or want a path to better health.

An avid home chef, he enjoys creating plant-based recipes using the skills and knowledge he gained from Chef Todd Mohr’s culinary classes and refined through the Forks Over Knives plant-based Master's program.

When he’s not writing, Ray enjoys time with his family... and sharing the message that in all areas of life, God’s way works.
